Terms & Conditions

The Wild Goddess

Last updated: 26 October 2026

Welcome to The Wild Goddess, a little corner of the world dedicated to folklore, storytelling, creativity and everyday enchantment.

These Terms & Conditions explain the arrangements that apply when you purchase from our website, subscribe to Letterbox Enchantments, participate in our community or use our content.

Please read them carefully before making a purchase or subscribing. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory consumer rights.

1. About Us

The Wild Goddess is an independent UK business offering folklore-inspired home fragrance, books, storytelling, creative experiences and physical letter subscriptions.

Our website is:

https://www.thewildgoddessworld.co.uk

The Wild Goddess is operated by Kayleigh Priest, trading as The Wild Goddess.

Email: [email protected]

Business correspondence and returns address: 38 Cowley Drive, Dudley, West Midlands, DY1 2SS

We are not currently VAT registered.

2. Using Our Website

By using our website, you agree to use it lawfully and respectfully.

You must not attempt to interfere with the operation or security of our website, misuse its content, or use it for fraudulent or unlawful purposes.

We reserve the right to restrict access where reasonably necessary to protect our website, customers or business.

3. Our Products

The Wild Goddess offers physical products, including candles, wax melts, books and other folklore-inspired items.

We aim to provide accurate descriptions, photographs, pricing and product information.

As many of our products are handmade, slight variations in appearance, colour or finish may occur. Such variations do not affect your statutory rights or our obligation to supply products that match their descriptions and are of satisfactory quality.

Product availability may change, and we reserve the right to discontinue products or update our collections.

4. Placing an Order

When you place an order through our website, you are making an offer to purchase the selected products.

You will receive confirmation of your order using the contact information supplied during checkout.

A contract is formed when we accept your order and send an order acceptance confirmation.

If we are unable to fulfil an order because of stock availability, pricing errors or another legitimate reason, we will contact you and arrange an appropriate refund where payment has already been collected.

Please ensure your delivery and contact information is accurate before submitting your order.

5. Prices and Payments

All prices are displayed in pounds sterling (GBP), unless otherwise indicated.

The Wild Goddess is not VAT registered, so VAT is not separately charged.

Delivery costs and any other applicable charges will be displayed before you complete your purchase.

Payments are processed securely through Stripe, integrated with our FEACreate website.

We do not directly store your full payment card details.

For subscription products, recurring payments are collected automatically according to the billing arrangements explained at checkout and in these terms.

6. Delivery and Postage

We aim to prepare and dispatch orders within the timeframe stated on the relevant product page or at checkout.

Delivery times are estimates unless a specific delivery date has been expressly agreed.

Once dispatched, delivery times may vary depending on the postal service, destination and circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

If no delivery timeframe has been agreed, we will deliver goods without undue delay and within the period required by applicable consumer law.

If your order has not arrived within the agreed timeframe, please contact us so we can investigate and arrange an appropriate resolution.

Risk of loss or damage to goods generally remains with us until they come into your physical possession, or that of a person you have nominated, subject to applicable law.

7. International Orders

We may offer international delivery for selected products, including Letterbox Enchantments.

International delivery availability and charges will be confirmed during checkout.

Customers receiving deliveries outside the United Kingdom may be responsible for applicable import duties, customs charges or local taxes imposed by the destination country.

These charges are not included in our prices unless expressly stated otherwise.

International delivery times may vary due to postal networks and customs processing.

Nothing in this section removes your statutory rights where goods are lost, damaged or not delivered.

8. Letterbox Enchantments: Monthly Subscriptions

Letterbox Enchantments is a recurring monthly subscription providing physical letters inspired by folklore, seasonal living, storytelling and everyday enchantment.

Subscription Payments

By subscribing, you authorise Stripe to collect the recurring monthly subscription payment shown at checkout.

Your subscription begins on the date you sign up, and subsequent payments are ordinarily collected on the corresponding date each month.

Where a particular month does not contain that date, the applicable billing date will be determined by the subscription payment system and communicated through your subscription arrangements.

Your subscription continues until cancelled.

Each successful monthly payment covers one monthly letter.

Monthly Cut-Off Dates

The cut-off date for each month's letter is the 25th of the preceding month.

For example:

Subscribe on 20 October and your first letter will ordinarily be November's edition.

Subscribe on 26 October and your first letter will ordinarily be December's edition.

This allows us time to prepare and dispatch letters before their intended month.

Occasionally, we may agree to include a subscription received after the cut-off in an earlier mailing. This is subject to availability and our prior confirmation.

Payments and Letter Entitlements

Subscriptions operate on a pay-ahead basis.

Every successful subscription payment entitles you to one monthly letter, even where that letter is scheduled for dispatch in a future month.

Depending on your sign-up date, a subsequent subscription payment may be collected before your first letter has arrived.

The month of your first letter and the recurring payment arrangements should be made clear before you subscribe.

Cancelling Your Subscription

You can cancel your subscription at any time through the available online subscription management facility or by emailing:

[email protected]

Cancellation will stop future recurring payments in accordance with applicable law.

You will receive confirmation that your cancellation has been processed.

Cancelling does not mean forfeiting letters you have already paid for.

Any outstanding paid letters will continue to be dispatched according to the agreed schedule, unless a refund or another arrangement is required by law or agreed between us.

For example, if your final subscription payment covers March's letter, you will still receive that letter even if your subscription has been cancelled before March.

Statutory Cancellation and Refund Rights

Your right to stop future subscription renewals is separate from any statutory cooling-off rights.

Where you exercise an applicable statutory right to cancel the subscription contract, we will provide any refund and take any other action required by law.

The pay-ahead arrangement does not restrict these rights.

Subscription Changes

We may occasionally need to make changes to subscription prices, contents or arrangements.

Where changes affect existing subscribers, we will provide the notice, information and cancellation options required by applicable law.

We will not introduce an increased recurring charge without following the applicable legal requirements.

9. Cancelling Physical Product Orders

If you purchase eligible physical goods online, you generally have a statutory right to cancel within 14 days after receiving them, without giving a reason.

For orders containing multiple goods delivered separately, the applicable cancellation period may run from receipt of the last item.

Certain goods may be excluded from change-of-mind cancellation rights, including qualifying personalised or made-to-order products.

To exercise your cancellation right, please contact us at:

[email protected]

You may use the model cancellation form at the end of these terms, although this is not compulsory.

You must communicate your decision to cancel within the applicable cancellation period.

If you have received the goods, you must normally return them within 14 days of informing us of your cancellation.

Unless we have agreed otherwise or the law requires us to cover the cost, you are responsible for the direct cost of returning goods following a change-of-mind cancellation.

We may make a lawful deduction for any reduction in value caused by handling beyond what is necessary to establish the goods' nature, characteristics and functioning.

10. Refunds

Where you exercise a statutory right to cancel an eligible physical goods order, we will refund the payments required by law, including applicable standard outbound delivery charges.

We will make refunds without undue delay and within the statutory time limits.

Where goods must be returned, we may wait until we receive the returned goods or evidence that they have been sent back, as permitted by law.

Refunds will normally be made to the original payment method unless you expressly agree otherwise.

Nothing in these terms limits your rights to a remedy for faulty, damaged, misdescribed or otherwise non-conforming goods.

11. Faulty or Damaged Products

We take care when preparing and packaging orders, but occasionally something may go wrong.

If your order arrives damaged, faulty or incorrect, please contact us with your order details and an explanation of the problem.

Photographs can be helpful when assessing damage, although they are not an absolute condition of exercising your statutory rights.

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, goods must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described.

Where goods do not meet these requirements, you may be entitled to a repair, replacement, refund or other remedy, depending on the circumstances and applicable law.

Where we are legally responsible for the cost of returning faulty goods, we will meet that responsibility.

12. Candle and Wax Melt Safety

Our candles and wax melts are intended to be used in accordance with the safety information and instructions supplied with each product.

Please read and follow all applicable safety labels and usage instructions.

For candles, this includes keeping burning candles away from flammable materials, children and pets, and never leaving a burning candle unattended.

Wax melts should only be used in suitable burners in accordance with the relevant instructions.

Some fragrance ingredients may cause allergic reactions in susceptible individuals. Relevant product safety and hazard information is provided where required.

If you have concerns about ingredients or suitability, please contact us before use.

Nothing in this section excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

13. The Snug Community

The Snug is a free community created to encourage connection, creativity, storytelling and the sharing of everyday enchantments.

Participation is voluntary.

We ask members to treat one another with kindness, respect and consideration.

Harassment, threatening behaviour, discriminatory abuse, spam and the unauthorised sharing of another person's private information are not permitted.

We reserve the right to moderate contributions or remove members where reasonably necessary to protect the community.

Where The Snug uses third-party platforms, including WhatsApp, those platforms' own terms and privacy policies may also apply.

Members should be mindful that information shared in group conversations may be visible to other participants.

The Snug is intended as a supportive creative community and does not provide professional medical, psychological, financial or legal advice.

14. Podcast Participation

The Wild Goddess podcast explores folklore, creativity, storytelling, nature, enchantment and related subjects.

Submitting a guest application does not guarantee an invitation to appear.

We reserve the right to select guests based on their suitability for the podcast's themes and audience.

Guest participation, recording permissions, publication arrangements and promotional use of recorded material will be agreed separately with selected guests before recording or publication.

We may edit recordings for clarity, length, sound quality and presentation, subject to any separate guest agreement.

The views expressed by guests are their own and do not necessarily represent those of The Wild Goddess.

15. Intellectual Property and Copyright

Unless otherwise stated, original content created and owned by The Wild Goddess is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

This may include:

Mossvale stories, characters, fictional settings and original written material.

Books, essays, poetry and other creative writing.

Podcast episodes and original recordings.

Original product descriptions, designs and branding.

Purchasing a product or accessing our website does not transfer ownership of our intellectual property.

You may access and enjoy our publicly available content for lawful personal, non-commercial purposes.

You must not reproduce, republish, distribute, sell or commercially exploit substantial protected content without permission or another lawful basis.

Nothing in this section restricts uses permitted by copyright law or rights belonging to third parties.

16. External Websites and Platforms

Our website may contain links to external websites, including social media platforms, Substack, Amazon and other third-party services.

We are not responsible for the operation or content of websites outside our control.

Where you purchase products or access services directly through another platform, that platform's applicable terms may also govern the transaction.

We encourage you to review the relevant terms and privacy information.

17. Privacy and Personal Information

We collect and process personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable UK data protection legislation.

This includes information used to process orders, administer subscriptions, respond to enquiries and operate our community.

Please refer to our Privacy Policy for further details about how personal information is collected, used, stored and protected.

18. Our Responsibilities

We aim to provide products and services with reasonable care and skill and in accordance with applicable consumer law.

We are not responsible for losses that are not a foreseeable consequence of our breach of contract or failure to exercise reasonable care and skill, except where the law provides otherwise.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Your statutory consumer rights remain unaffected.

19. Events Beyond Our Reasonable Control

Occasionally, circumstances beyond our reasonable control may affect our ability to fulfil an order or subscription delivery.

These may include significant postal disruption, severe weather or supply interruptions.

Where this occurs, we will take reasonable steps to communicate with affected customers and resolve the situation.

Any delay or disruption will be handled in accordance with applicable consumer law, including your rights where goods are not delivered within the required timeframe.

20. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions to reflect changes to our business, products or legal obligations.

The latest version will be available on our website.

Changes will not retrospectively remove rights already acquired under an existing contract.

Where changes affect ongoing subscriptions, we will comply with applicable requirements relating to notice, consent and cancellation.

21. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Nothing in this section deprives consumers of mandatory legal protections or jurisdiction rights available to them under applicable law.
