A cosy corner of story, folklore and soul enchantment.
Sometimes life just gets too loud, the noticing stops, and the wonder gets buried under to-do lists, notifications and everyone needing something from you. It's easy to forget that, even just for a while, you're allowed to find those small pockets of wonder, and time that's simply yours.
The Snug is where you come to connect back to that.
It's a cosy corner to step into whenever you need to settle back into yourself. It's rather different from most offerings you'll find out there, it's not a course, and not exactly an audio hub. It's a unique place that blends story, a little folklore and seasonal wonder, in with quiet moments of meditation, musings and reflections.
Some days you might want to lose yourself completely in a story. Other days it's a meditation to walk with through the woods, a musing to sit with in the bath, or a little folklore to read before bed, something to let your mind wander and drift the way it used to, before life got so full.
It's a place where you will find a little wonder, comfort, escape, calm, and belonging.
This is for anyone drawn to folklore, seasonal living, and re-enchanting the everyday. For the ones who love a good story, a life musing, a slower way of living & a little wonder tucked into an ordinary day.
It's for the ones who want somewhere to come and simply escape the day for a while, a place to settle, exactly as you are.
Maybe that looks like losing yourself in a story until the world outside goes quiet. Maybe it's a piece of nature writing that slows your breathing without you noticing. Maybe it's a musing on seasonal living that stays with you longer than you expected, one you find yourself thinking about again the next morning, in the queue at the shop, or on the walk to work.
You're allowed to simply sit with what you find here, let it settle in its own time, and carry on with your day a little differently for having heard it. Whatever week you're having, whatever you bring in with you, this is a place to come home to yourself.
Step through the hedge, and into a cosy world of audio stories, waiting to be listened to.
Three rooms, each holding something a little different.
Mossvale Tales: Mossvale is the enchanted world at the heart of my book, Through the Hedge, ancient moors, a fairy village that's always bustling, a cosy inn where the fire's always lit, characters who carry more than they let on. This room holds unpublished stories set there, extra tales beyond the book, along with Marmalade's own journal and Violet's hedgerow observations, small windows into the everyday lives of the ones who live there.
Quiet Enchantments: A room to come and breathe. Meditations, walking meditations and guided audio journeys, alongside beautiful poetry and odes. You'll also find The Slow Hours here, my musings on enchantment, seasonal living, and the small moments of life in general. Somewhere to come when you want a quiet space, time to reflect, and a moment to reconnect.
Whispers of the Hedgerow: Real folklore, plantlore, forgotten gods and half-remembered myth, retold in my own voice, alongside nature stories, seasonal noticings and musings on slow living. The old ways of noticing the world, carried forward.
New pieces are added monthly for you to explore.

I'm a writer, a collector of folklore, and someone who has come to believe that enchantment is the thread running underneath everything worth living for.
I've spent years gathering the old stories, the ones carried in hedgerows and half-remembered by grandmothers, the ones that live in the pause before rain, in a robin's curious way of watching you back. I've also written and narrated my own, in the way I'd tell them to someone I loved, slowly, with the light left in.
The Snug is where I keep them all.
A room for Mossvale's unfinished corners.
A room to sit quietly in and breathe.
A room for the old ways of noticing the world, spoken aloud the way they were always meant to be shared, around a fire, in the dark, voice to voice.
Come and listen when the world has gone loud, or when you want to get cosy and drift away to somewhere wonderful for a while and remember how strange and lovely the world really is.
For just £4.99 a month, you get access to a beautiful library of stories, meditations, poems and musings, ready to listen to any time you like.
Every new month brings more cosy audio stories, so there's always something new to enjoy, as well as favourites to return to.
You'll get full access to all three rooms, every story, meditation and poem already there, plus anything new added from that point on.
You can access the portal through desktop, or through the app for ease, whichever suits you best. Listen whenever it fits your day.
Not at all. Come and go as you please, dip into whatever room calls to you that day.
Yes. Woven through all three rooms are stories, meditations and poems that move with the wheel of the year, cosy autumn tales, bright spring pieces, and everything in between, so there's always something that matches the season you're in.
Not everything, no. The majority of pieces are narrated, but some are written, since that felt like the truest way to share them. A mix of listening and reading, whatever suits the piece and whatever suits you.
You'll keep access until the end of your current billing period, then it closes. You're welcome back any time. If you're on the annual plan, it will simply renew at the end of the year.
