Monthly inspiration to notice the magic all around you
Imagine a cosy evening, the kettle on, and an envelope waiting on the doormat with your name on it. Inside is a letter from me, full of the old folklore of the month, seasonal noticing's to look out for, and a little quest or two that'll lead you out of your front door and into the enchantment that's been there all along.
Letterbox Enchantments is a monthly snail mail letter for anyone who wants to slow down, step outside and fall back in love with the world around them, one month at a time.
Why I write these letters
So many of us are walking around feeling a little disenchanted, rushing from one thing to the next with our heads down and our phones in our hands, and somewhere along the way we've stopped noticing. The magic never actually left, though. It's still there in the hedgerows and the old place names, in the turning of the seasons and the stories our great grandparents knew by heart, just waiting for us to look up again.
I've spent years gathering folklore, nature wisdom and the old ways of paying attention, and these letters are my way of sharing a little of that with you, so that each month you've got a reason to go out and find it for yourself.
What arrives each month
Each letter is rooted in the month it arrives in, woven from the land, the old festivals, the plant and animal lore and the turning wheel of the year. Inside you'll find:
A thread of seasonal folklore, the customs, beliefs and old wisdom that belong to that time of year.
A seasonal noticing, something to watch for as the month turns, from changes in the hedgerows and skies to old enchantments we've forgotten to look for.
A quest, something to actually go out and do, whether that's a walk at dusk, a trip to your local library or an old church, or a hunt for the oldest hedge near you.
Reflections, a couple of gentle thoughts to carry with you as the month unfolds.
I won't hand you all the answers, and that's the whole point. Each letter gives you a thread to pull, a little wisdom and a pointer towards where to look, and then it's over to you to discover what's hidden in your own patch of the world, wherever you happen to live.
Beyond the envelope
Each letter is more than words on a page, it's an invitation to go out and look for the enchantment that's waiting in the world around you. Every month brings something different, a new season to notice, new folklore to follow and a new adventure to set out on, and every so often a little surprise will find its way into your envelope too.
When you join, I'll invite you to find an old shoebox, or any box you love, to become your Keeping Box. Month by month it'll fill with whatever your adventures lead you to, a pressed leaf, a feather, a note scribbled on a dusk walk, your reflections and the small enchantments you've noticed along the way. By the end of the year you'll have a whole year of enchantment tucked away in there, and the real treasures will be the ones you discovered for yourself.
Who it's for
These letters are for the curious ones, the seasonal livers and the folklore lovers, for anyone who's ever felt the pull of an old woodland or wondered about the story behind a strange place name. You don't need to live in the countryside or have a slow living lifestyle, as the quests work just as well on a city street or in a town park, and each letter has simple ways to bring the little ones, the dog or a friend along for the adventure.

Every letter is sent Royal Mail Tracked 48, so your enchantment never goes astray.
Join by the 25th of any month to receive the following month's letter. Letters are posted towards the end of the month, ready to open on the 1st.
Your first envelope also holds a welcome letter, with everything you need to begin.

Gift the enchantment
3 months for £39, a lovely way to introduce someone to the magic.
12 months for £156, a whole year of enchantment paid for in one, or makes for a wonderful gift for a loved one.
Little questions
When will my letter arrive?
Letters are posted towards the end of each month by Tracked 48, so they usually land a day or two before the 1st. You'll find a little note on the envelope asking you to wait until the first of the month to open it, if you can bear to.
What if I join after the 25th?
No problem at all, your letters will simply begin the month after next, with your welcome letter tucked inside your very first envelope.
Can I cancel?
Of course, whenever you like. Each payment covers your next letter, so if you cancel after paying, that letter will still come to you. All ongoing letters will be cancelled unless you resubscribe and the service resumes.
Can I send it as a gift?
Yes, just pop their name and address in at checkout. Aswell as the monthly payment option there is also a 3 and 12 month option.
Is there somewhere to share my finds?
Yes, you'll be warmly invited into The Snug, my free community, where you can share your quests, your finds and everything you're noticing along the way if you'd like to.
Do I need the Small Enchantments book?
Not at all, though they make lovely companions. The book gives you a little everyday magic for each day of the year, and the letters send you out on a bigger adventure each month.
