You don’t usually stumble into a place like this.
And yet here you are.
A world where stories linger in the trees,
where the hedgerows feel like they might be hiding something,
and where life begins to feel a little more enchanted again.
It's a world you can step into and explore in your own way.
Mossvale isn’t just a feeling, it’s a place.
With winding paths, hidden corners, and stories tucked into every part of the land.
🌲 The Storywood
Where stories gather beneath the trees.
🏡 The Crooked Lantern Inn
A place for local news and unexpected encounters.
🌾 The Wild Moors
Windswept, restless, and full of old magic.
🌸 Lavender Hollow
Soft, still, and wonderfully restorative.

If you spend enough time in Mossvale, you’ll start to notice the same names appearing.
Not always where you expect them.
But often exactly when you need them.
Marmalade
A small, curious fairy with a habit of turning up uninvited.
Known for:
- leaving notes where there weren’t any before
- involving herself in conversations
and having very strong opinions on snacks
If there is an event happening in Mossvale, Marmalade probably organised it!
Edith of the Wild Moors
Lives alone on the edge of the moors, where the wind never quite settles.
She knows which plants to gather, which paths to avoid and when something feels off.
No-one is really sure what her story is but she is certainly Mossvales Wise Woman.
Matlock Emberwick
Candle maker of Mosswick Village.
He gathers scents from forests after rainfall, the distant hills and places most people wouldn’t think to look
Each candle carries a story.
Though he rarely tells you the whole of it!
Hedra & Edric
of The Crooked Lantern Inn
The unofficial hosts of Mossvale.
Hedra keeps things running (mostly).
Edric has a tendency to get distracted.
Between them, they’ve created a place where stories (and drinks) are shared, plans are made
and things occasionally get a little out of hand!
You’ll always be welcome there.
Whether you meant to stop by or not.
🪶 Colin the Crow
He sees everything.
And mentions most of it.
Often at the wrong time.
You don’t need to remember all their names.
Just spend a little time in Mossvale, and you’ll soon start to recognise them.
You might find yourself
